If you have friends, family, or neighbors who are on the fence about who or why they should vote one way or another, here is a great resource for them to become familiar with as a VOTER:
Candidate support through YARD SIGNS! Our conservative Republican candidates need your help and apart from a donation, another way to help is with name recognition. It's huge! Your neighbors might not know how to vote but they may trust your integrity. That sign in your yard might prompt them to ask you "why" you like that particular candidate. Need a sign, click HERE and let me know. I have Trump ($5 each), Cruz (free), or CISD Conservative Slate (free).

DECISION 2024
SHERIFF'S RUNOFF RACE
WHAT HAPPENED?
OP-Ed by Elizabeth Rickard Precinct 58 came out and showed up for Sheriff Rand Henderson. The choice was clear for us but apparently not for others in Montgomery County. So what happened? We believe there were many factors that worked against Sheriff Henderson in the Primary Runoff Race for Sheriff of Montgomery County. First, many people were preparing for graduations and end of school events. To top that off, election day was the day after Memorial Day which is a typical time for residents to leave and begin their summer vacations. Second, many voters thought that Rand had already won so when they kept receiving texts about getting out and voting, their response was either "I already voted," or "I thought he already won?" Third, there was so much mud slinging and misinformation going around that most voters didn't know where to turn to find accurate information. There were half-truths being spread regarding crime stats and not enough time to educate the public on what the whole truth was. Lies about 911 calls went from 3,000 unanswered calls to a suspicious PAC sending out mailers claiming 115,000 unanswered calls. What is a voter supposed to believe? As invested voters who stayed on top of the information, we were hoping to keep a Sheriff who used innovative ideas and supported law enforcement with the equipment/tools necessary to do their jobs. It was a tough loss knowing 3,049 voters in the March Primary chose Henderson over Doolittle. We pray that the new Sheriff in town can live up to the legacy that Sheriff Rand Henderson leaves behind and will surround himself with the right people to help him learn the ropes and become the Sheriff Montgomery County needs for the times that lie ahead. He has big shoes to fill and a big hat won't cut it. We are looking forward to seeing what he can do with this opportunity and pray that he's not all talk but more walk. Good luck, Captain Doolittle. To Sheriff Rand Henderson, on behalf of Precinct 58, thank you for your service. We may have not always agreed on what was best for our county but you kept us safe. On a personal note, I never once felt unsafe in my neighborhood or shopping in our special district of The Woodlands. Law enforcement was quick to respond to emergency calls made, knowledgeable redirection of non-emergency calls, and community visibility. Schools were safer because of your employee's quick response time and training of employees at state of the art training facilities that were funded and realized through your forward thinking and budgeting abilities. You may not have been the outspoken, glad-handing, atta-boy boss people "needed" but you got the job done and we are extrememly grateful for your years of service. We all have something to learn from life and those we serve and you were truly exemplary. Thank you and may God bless you with success, peace, and acceptance wherever you land. -Elizabeth Rickard Precinct 58 Chair - Elect
Results of 2024 May MUD Board elections
If you've been following local MUD (Municipal Utility Districts) Board news then you know that in May there was an enormous turnover of MUD Board Directors! As residents, we view this as a huge victory and hope that you will share in this opinion soon.
We encourage that you watch videos of your local MUD board meetings to see what is on the agenda and to hear some public comments so that you know how this impressive amount of resident-focused candidates came about and were voted onto these MUD boards.
Since you are in Precinct 58 you fall either in MUD 47 or 60 and while 60 did not turn over like other MUDs did, the concern that is on all our minds is will our water rates be doubling or not? The MUD candidates running this past May were not lying. There is a huge amount of money that the SJRA wants to spend to update infrastructure and for the creation of a new water treatment facility, which are both needed, but what these new candidates were running on was "is all that money necessary OR can we do it more cost-effectively?" When it comes down to money, most people agree, do I need to bite the bullet and just trust that what they are asking for is what needs to be spent OR are they simply hoping residents don't care and won't check, and can just ask for what they think is needed.

Congratulations to all the new MUD Board Directors! CLICK below to find out which MUD you are in and to see some of the videos online. We are looking forward to this new board of MUD directors and hoping that they can save us some money on what looks to be a very hot summer already!

BREAKING—TEXAS PERMANENT SCHOOL FUND TERMINATES WOKE BLACKROCK CONTRACT
In Texas, we don’t just make promises— we deliver results. We will not stand by and let the woke #ESG movement derail billions in Texas assets. Watch out #WallStreet— we’re just getting started and will do whatever it takes to protect the financial future of our state and our students. Proud to be a coauthor of this critical legislation. Great work by the Texas State Board of Education." Brandon Creighton Facebook post. Here is a link to Reuters on the issue from March 19, 2024: CLICK HERE

Supreme Court permits Texas police to arrest people who illegally cross the border as the SB 4 legal clash continues...
The legality of what was proposed is still in debate, going back and forth, but as of right now police can arrest people who illegally cross the border for deportation. Concerns over profiling are the buzz on social media at the moment but law enforcement agree that most officers will not be "actively looking" for people to arrest. The law is in place for moments when individuals caught breaking the law happen to be people who are here illegally and what the course of action will be when arrested.
Even after writing this, a federal appeals court allowed a previous injunction to stand, which means that SB4 is blocked....again. Click HERE to read an online article from the TexasTribune.org.
